About Puxap

Practical woodworking guidance from a local Irish source, dedicated to making DIY accessible for homeowners of all experience levels.

Who We Are

Puxap is an Irish-based woodworking and DIY guidance resource for homeowners. We believe that creating useful wooden items—furniture, storage, garden features—should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age or experience.

We've been serving homeowners across Ireland for over a decade, providing clear, practical instructions and safety-first guidance. Our approach is simple: step-by-step learning, honest feedback, and no pressure for perfection.

Based in Galway, we understand the local climate, available materials, and the unique needs of Irish homes. Whether you're 40 or 80, you can learn to build useful things with your hands. That's what we're here to help with.

Our Values

Accessibility

Woodworking shouldn't be exclusive. We provide guidance that works for beginners, hobbyists, and anyone who wants to learn at their own pace without expensive equipment or years of training.

Safety First

Clear safety practices are non-negotiable. We emphasize proper tool use, workspace organization, and protective measures in every project guide so you can work with confidence and care.

Practicality

We focus on projects that serve a real purpose in your home. A stool you'll actually use, shelves that hold your belongings, storage that solves a problem. Form follows function.

Community

We're part of the Irish DIY community. We share what we've learned, support local craftspeople, and believe in the value of making things with your own hands.

Honesty

No exaggerated claims or unrealistic promises. We tell you what's difficult, what takes time, and when to call a professional. Real guidance, not marketing hype.

Continuous Learning

Woodworking techniques evolve. We stay current with materials, tools, and methods while respecting traditional craftsmanship. Learning never stops.

Our Mission

To provide Irish homeowners with clear, practical, and safety-focused woodworking and DIY guidance that makes it possible to build useful things at home—on your own terms, at your own pace.

We want to empower people to solve real problems in their homes: storage needs, seating, garden improvements, and functional pieces that make daily life better. We remove the intimidation factor and replace it with straightforward instruction, practical tips, and honest assessment of difficulty levels.

Whether you've never picked up a saw or you're returning to a hobby after years away, Puxap is here to help you learn, build, and create. We believe in the value of handcrafted items and the satisfaction of creating something useful yourself.
